Kumusha Pinotage 2020

We have only a few items left, hurry!

A uniquely South African wine with depth, balance, and delicious aromas reminiscent of dark cherries and mulberries on the nose. Notes of ripe plums and hints of spice on the palate with a savoury finish. This wine pairs well with game, turkey, spicy dishes and curries.

Additional Information

Planted in the Swartland region in the early 1990s, this wine was dryland farmed and made from bush vine Pinotage. Of the yield, 80% was de-stemmed and 20% was left whole bunch through fermentation and maceration. In order to create an elegant and fine example of Pinotage, the tannins were not over-extracted and gentle actions through fermentation were used. Aged for 12 months in big French casks and old 500-litre neutral barrels, the key philosophy is ‘no additions and minimal intervention’.
